Uses of Advair Inhaler

Advair 125/25mcg combines fluticasone and salmeterol, two key components used in asthma treatment. These ingredients work synergistically to manage and control asthma symptoms.

Fluticasone helps alleviate asthma symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, and chest tightness. Salmeterol, on the other hand, improves breathing and relaxes the airway muscles, thereby preventing asthma attacks.

Precautions and Warnings

Prior to using this medication, it’s essential to ensure the patient is not hypersensitive to any of its components as hypersensitivity can be dangerous. Other complications, such as pneumonia, may occur, particularly in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Dosage

This medication not only treats asthma but can also be prescribed for patients transitioning from other asthma treatments. Administered in powder form for easy inhalation, Advair helps make asthma symptoms more manageable.

• Maximum of 2 inhalations, twice daily

Excessive use should be avoided to prevent adverse reactions.
