Humalog Vial

Humalog (insulin lispro) is a rapid-acting insulin used to help control blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes. It works quickly to manage blood sugar spikes that occur after meals and is often used in combination with long-acting insulin for comprehensive blood sugar control. Dosage:

Warnings and Precautions:

• Monitor blood sugar levels frequently to avoid hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia.

• Ensure proper injection technique to avoid skin reactions or lipodystrophy (fat deposits at the injection site).
• Not for use during episodes of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) or in individuals with insulin allergies.

Usage Instructions:

• Inject Humalog subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, rotating injection sites to prevent skin irritation.
• Can be used in an insulin pump for continuous blood sugar management.
• Always inspect the vial before use; do not use it if the insulin appears cloudy or discolored.
• Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions on dose and timing.

Storage Information:

• Unopened vials should be stored in the refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C).
• Once in use, vials can be kept at room temperature (below 86°F or 30°C) for up to 28 days.
• Protect from direct heat and light. Do not freeze.
• Keep the vial capped and out of reach of children.

Common Side Effects:

• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is the most common side effect.
• Injection site reactions, such as redness or swelling, may occur.
• Weight gain can happen with consistent insulin use.
• Some individuals may experience mild swelling in the hands or feet.
