Zepbound™ (tirzepatide) is an FDA-approved medication by Eli Lilly for chronic weight management. It’s indicated for adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related medical issues like hypertension, dyslipidemia, or type 2 diabetes. Zepbound activates GIP and GLP-1 hormone receptors, aiding in weight loss when used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Clinical trials showed significant weight loss with Zepbound compared to placebo. It’s not suitable for use with other tirzepatide-containing products or in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal diseases or pancreatitis.
