Like other weight loss medications, Wegovy may cause side effects, which can range from common to severe in nature.

The most common adverse reactions of Wegovy are:

  • Nausea

  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Abdominal pain
  • Low blood sugar
  • Injection site reactions such as pain, redness, or itching

Other serious side effects of Wegovy include:

These are common allergic reactions from Wegovy. Before you start taking Wegovy, please ensure you are not allergic to its components.

Thyroid tumor or cancer. While rare, it’s important to note that thyroid tumors or cancer may develop while using Wegovy. If you notice a lump on your neck or experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, hoarseness, or trouble swallowing, please notify your healthcare professional right away.
