Cerenia Injection

Cerenia Injection is a prescription medication used to prevent and treat acute vomiting in dogs and cats. It contains maropitant citrate, which works by blocking the action of a chemical in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting. This fast-acting injectable form is commonly used in veterinary clinics for quick relief.

Dosage

• May be used for up to 5 consecutive days, depending on the condition

• Use with caution in pets with liver disease
• Safe use in pregnant or breeding animals has not been fully evaluated
• Do not use in animals allergic to maropitant

How to Use

• Administered via subcutaneous or intravenous injection by your vet

Storage

• Do not freeze
• Use within 90 days of first puncture

Side Effects

• Rare: allergic reaction, behavior changes—seek immediate veterinary care if severe symptoms occur
