Vetoryl is a prescription medication used to treat Cushing’s disease (hyperadrenocorticism) in dogs. It contains trilostane, which works by blocking the production of excessive cortisol from the adrenal glands. Vetoryl helps reduce symptoms and improve your dog’s quality of life.

Dosage
- For oral use in dogs only
- Starting dose: typically 1 to 3 mg per pound (2.2 to 6.7 mg/kg) of body weight once daily
- Given once daily with food, but may be split into twice-daily dosing depending on your vet’s recommendation
- Your veterinarian will adjust the dose based on ACTH stimulation tests and clinical signs
- Do not open or crush capsules
Warnings and Precautions
- Not for use in dogs with kidney or liver disease without close veterinary supervision
- Not recommended for use in pregnant or nursing dogs
- May cause serious adrenal suppression if overdosed—always follow the vet’s instructions
- Periodic blood tests are required to monitor response and safety
- Keep out of reach of children and other animals
How to Use
- Give the capsule with food, at the same time each day
- Do not stop or change the dose without veterinary approval
- If a dose is missed, give it as soon as possible unless it’s close to the next dose—never double up
- Follow all monitoring and follow-up appointments with your vet

- Store at below 25°C (77°F)
- Keep capsules in the original packaging until use
- Protect from moisture and heat
- Keep out of reach of children and pets

- Common: vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, reduced appetite
- Serious: weakness, collapse, electrolyte imbalance—contact your vet immediately if these appear
