Apidra SoloSTAR pen side effects

Remember that your health-care provider prescribed Apidra SoloSTAR Pen because they judged that the benefit of using this medication outweighs the risks. However, taking this medication to control high blood sugar levels may lead to side effects. Seek emergency help in case you experience signs of an allergy, such as trouble breathing, itchiness or a rash, sweating, or fast heart rate. Patients using Apidra SoloSTAR Pen may experience low blood sugar or hypoglycemia.

Symptoms of hypoglycemia

  • Weakness
  • Hunger
  • Confusion
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Sweating
  • Dizziness
  • Difficulty concentrating

In case you experience any of these signs of low blood sugar, you should call your doctor immediately. You can quickly treat the symptoms of hypoglycemia by taking glucose tablets or hard candy. Insulin glulisine may also lead to low potassium levels with symptoms such as increased thirst, uneven heartbeat, confusion, increased urination or dry mouth.
