All the medications used can lead to side effects. A side effect is the undesired effect caused by the drug if taken in the prescribed dose, may be mild, common, permanent or temporal and vary from one patient to another. At least one percent of the patients taking Janumet will experience negative effects.

The following are the common side effects

  • Feeling full or bloated
  • Too much gas or air in the intestines or stomach
  • Indigestion
  • Loss of strength
  • Muscle aches
  • Passing gas
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Vomiting

As for the severe side effects, medical intervention should be sought right away, although they rarely occur, they can prompt serious complications.

Severe side effects include:

  • Anxiety
  • Blurred vision
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Slurred speech
  • Nightmares
  • Increased hunger
  • Confusion
  • Shortness of breath

The above is not a comprehensive list of all the side effects of Janumet, so contact the health practitioner for more information.
