Januvia (Sitagliptin) dosage

The recommended januvia dosage is 100 mg which should be taken by mouth once every day with or without meals. However, the dosage strength is 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg. Make sure you take this medicine as it is prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor may adjust your dosing so that you can get the best results out of this medication. However, you should not increase or decrease your dose without your doctor’s advice. Make sure you take this medication as it is prescribed by your doctor. That means, you should carefully follow the instructions on your prescription label. In case you missed a dose, you should take it as soon as you remember. Avoid taking a double dose to make up for the missed dose. If it is time to take the next dose and you missed the last one, you should skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosage.

In case januvia is taken in combination with insulin, a patient may require a lower dose of the insulin to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is a condition characterized by extremely low blood sugar levels and can happen to any person with diabetes.
